It's depend upon which state you belong, because subsidy given by state government varies but the subsidy given by Central government under PM Surya Ghar : Muft Bijli Youjan, you get 30,000 subsidy per kw upto 78,000.
Yes — the subsidy is available specifically for residents of Bihar.
Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Bihar residents can receive a ₹30,000 subsidy per kW, up to a maximum of ₹78,000 for a 3 kW and above(capped) solar system.
A general rule of thumb is that you need approximately 100 square feet of shadow-free roof area for every 1kW of solar panels. For a standard 3kW home system, you would need about 300 sq. ft. of space.
This depends on your system type:

1. On-Grid System: It shuts down during power cuts for safety reasons (anti-islanding).
2. Hybrid System: It has a battery backup, so it switches to battery power instantly, keeping your lights and fans running during load shedding.
Once the design is finalized and materials arrive, the physical installation typically takes 2 to 4 days for a residential system. The net-metering approval from the DISCOM (SBPDCL/NBPDCL) usually takes an additional 2-3 weeks.
